A Study of Biocompatibility for Domestic Products of Metallic Implants

Abstract
Dynamic compression plates, screws and K-wires, used in the orthopedic surgery as internal fixation system, should have excellent biocompatibility, corrosion resistance, and adequate mechanical properties. The present investigation was carried out in order or to compare Seshin implants with Osteo implants of its biocompatibilities, mechanical and metallurgic properties by experiments both in vivo and vitro.
The conclusions were follows :
1. In vivo, radiologic, hematologic results of domestic implants had no significant differetces as compared with foreign made implants.
2. In vitro, metallurgic and physical properties of domestic implants had no significant differences as compared with foreign made implants.
3. In summary, it was concluded Seshin implants could be aplied to the human body, temporarily.
